Holding a full practice ahead of Monday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Leafs shuffled their lines and had a pair of surprises with them on the ice.

A surprising optional skate on Sunday led to only a handful of Leafs taking the ice. Monday was a different story with the full roster getting in a morning skate before Monday's game against the Lightning, where head coach Craig Berube made a few subtle line changes.

Jarnkrok, Mermis draw in

After watching from the press-box for the latter half of the Leafs' six-game road trip and Saturday's shootout loss at home, Calle Jarnkrok and Dakota Mermis draw back into the Leafs' lineup for Monday.
Mermis will draw in for Philippe Myers, who has struggled mightily the past few games, while Jarnkrok will replace Nick Robertson on the fourth line with Scott Laughton and Steve Lorentz.
Speaking of Laughton, the Toronto native was absent from Monday's practice, but is expected to play tonight, according to Berube.

Blueline getting healthy; Tanev, Rifai join practice again

With an evaluation scheduled for Wednesday, Chris Tanev joined practice once again. This time, however, the rugged blueliner shed his red non-contact jersey for a regular black one.
Joining Tanev in shedding the non-contact jersey was Marshall Rifai as both appear closer to returning to game action. There is still no timeline for either to return, but the fact they were both participating in regular jerseys and have been cleared for contact bodes well for them.

Leafs putting their faith in Hildeby

Without Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz, it will be Dennis Hildeby between the pipes for the Leafs again on Monday night.
The 'Hildebeast' is coming off of a stellar performance against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday that saw him stop 33 of 34 shots, posting a .971 save percentage.
The hope is that Woll will only be out for a week, but given the lack of clarity and moving timelines we have seen from the Leafs, it would not be surprising to see Hildeby start each game this week.
