Maple Leafs top defensive prospect Ben Danford is to be dealt at some point during the OHL season, and the Leafs are expected to decide where he ends up.

Before joining the Leafs at training camp, top defensive prospect Ben Danford will be making a stop at the NHLPA Rookie Showcase along with other top prospects.
It will have capped off a busy summer for Danford, who also took part in the World Juniors Showcase for Team Canada, but his rise from a late first-round pick to a physical, stay-at-home blueliner with top-four potential has led to him becoming a highly sought-after asset heading into the OHL season.
The Oshawa Generals are expected to rebuild and Danford is likely going to net them a massive return to kick-start it, but there may be a bit of a roadblock ahead.
There are just a handful of teams reportedly interested in the 19-year-old, but that list may shrink down to only two or three, possibly even just one team as it is expected and widely known that the Leafs are going to have a say in where their top defensive prospect ends his junior career.
The interested parties for Danford's services aren't known just yet, but if you were to guess, the Leafs would probably prefer him to end up with a team like the London Knights where the Leafs' former Assistant General Manager Mark Hunter is and has been for a very long time.
