Based on Ryan Reaves' recent comments, it doesn't sound like the ex-Maple Leafs enforcer is going to take the high-road on his way out of Toronto.
For most of those in-tune with the Toronto Maple Leafs, it was all but a foregone conclusion that enforcer Ryan Reaves was on the outs, especially after having been placed on waivers near the trade deadline.
Not only did believe he was unfairly mistreated by the coaching staff, but he then took aim towards the fans, who he believed had a quick switch in turning against him when things went south.
Later in his interview with TSN's Mark Masters, Reaves also talked about what surprised him the most about playing in Toronto, and once again he took aim towards the Leafs faithful.
"The ups and downs of the fans in the playoffs. The arena could be absolutely rocking at one point and then just dead silent at another, but passionate fans are gonna be passionate fans."
It's certainly an interesting turn of events and perhaps there's a little bit of truth to what he's saying, but rather than taking the high road after 2 seasons with the organization, Reaves appears to be leaving on some pretty bitter terms.
Now on his way to San Jose, Reaves is headed to a much quieter market, which may be a welcome change for him.
