Official Announcement Confirms the Tragic Passing of 25-Year-Old Player and Brother of NHL Forward
An official report has confirmed the tragic passing of a 25-year-old player and the brother of former San Jose Sharks draft pick and current Nashville Predators forward Ozzy Wiesblatt.
The hockey world is reeling on Monday after it was confirmed that 25-year-old Orca Wiesblatt has passed away.
Wiesblatt is being remembered as a skilled forward with a knack for hitting that could bring down the biggest players. Wiesblatt, most recently a member of the ECHL's Allen Americans, was killed in a tragic traffic accident over the weekend in British Columbia.
Wiesblatt has played for a number of teams in several leagues over the years. The news of his passing was broken by the Athen Rock Lobsters, the team Wiesblatt played with last season.
