The Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens had a pretty entertaining Game 1 battle of their first round matchup. Despite some tight play, the unfortunate highlight of the game is the John Tavares incident. Tavares was accidentally clocked in the head by Corey Perry's knee and had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher and transported to hospital. Very few people thought the play was malicious, however once the puck finally dropped again Nick Foligno challenged Perry to a fight and Perry answered the bell. Foligno came under scrutiny for dropping the gloves and plenty of people had things to say about "the code'.The Leafs' forward explained why he dropped the gloves. «Our captain's laying on the ice. It's nothing more than that,» Foligno explained. «I don't think (the hit is) malicious. But our captain's laying on the ice, our captain. You don't want to see that. I think (the fight) just addressed the situation and everyone moves on.»What do you think of Foligno's comments?
