Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. makes a statement that the City of Toronto will love, showing up to Game 7 of the ALCS in an Auston Matthews Maple Leafs jersey.

With the Maple Leafs struggling to find their footing early on during this 2025-26 NHL regular season, many passionate fans in Toronto have turned their attention towards the Toronto Blue Jays, who play Game 7 of the ALCS tonight.

For Vladimir Guerrero Jr., as he prepared for the biggest game of his life, there are probably equal levels of nerves and excitement, with his Blue Jays having a chance to punch their ticket to the World Series.

Vladdy arrived at Rogers Centre in style, sporting an Auston Matthews jersey, which caught the attention of Sportsnet.

The support between the two Toronto-based clubs has been very apparent, and Guerrero is not the only player to be sporting a jersey of his Toronto counterpart this season. Max Domi has been arriving for Maple Leafs game days wearing his Blue Jays apparel since the start of the season.

Auston Matthews to Attend Game 7 of the ALCS to Cheer on Blue Jays in Person

Leafs captain Auston Matthews informed reporters that he'll definitely be in attendance tonight for Game 7, expressing his excitement for the biggest event in Toronto since the Toronto Raptors won an NBA Championship.

"Really exciting. We're all rooting for them pretty hard."

Hopefully the Blue Jays can pull it off tonight against the Seattle Mariners. It would be a nice bit of payback for Toronto fans who were taunted and teased after the Kraken came into Toronto this past weekend and beat the Leafs in overtime.
