TSN's Pierre LeBrun has issued a statement regarding the dangerous hit Leafs forward Max Domi landed on Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov at the end of Game 4.

Dmitry Kulikov escaped without a penalty after landing a blatant elbow to the back of Mitch Marner's head earlier in Game 4, while Matthew Tkachuk avoided supplemental discipline after taking multiple runs at Marner to close out Game 1.
As Panthers fans moan about Max Domi's very questionable hit at the end of Game 4 on Aleksander Barkov, which he got a major penalty for, LeBrun revealed on 'X' why the league may look into the incident further.
LeBrun noted that nothing would have came of the hit had it occurred in the first period, but he outlined in his post that 'message sending plays at end of games' is an area of focus in the CBA between the Players and the league.
Initially, LeBrun was not sure if it warranted a suspension or a fine, but later clarified that he does not believe Domi will be or should face suspension.
Should the league impose supplemental discipline on the Leafs' forward, there will be an immense amount of outrage from Leafs Nation and likely the Leafs themselves, considering the amount of dangerous plays the Panthers have executed without so much as a penalty being called, let alone any fines or suspensions.
