After some of Mitch Marner's recent comments about his safety, his former security guard has taken to social media to mix it up with Maple Leafs fans.
Former Toronto Maple Leafs winger Mitch Marner has been the talk of the town over the last little bit
after his recent interview with TSN's Mark Masters, where he talked about how he feared for his safety and needed security outside his house for 2 weeks after the playoffs.
Toronto Sun's Steve Simmons wrote a piece about the situation on the weekend and
essentially threw cold water over the proceedings, almost made it seem that a lot of what Marner was saying was far from the truth, even getting confirmation from the Leafs themselves that the situation was not as bad as it was being portrayed.
Now we can add comments on social media from his security detail, Rocket Security, as they've been making their rounds and getting into it with fans who have been calling out Marner.
In the most recent interaction that has now gone viral, Rocket Security went after one user, claiming that Marner was a stand-up guy and would give his kidney if he had asked for it.
He continues by saying that the Marner family has always been checking in on him to see how he was doing with his kidney disease and that it infuriates it him to the gills that fans make him out to be the villain - among other things.
This isn't the first time that Rocket Security has taken to social media to protect their client, as they did the same thing in 2024 after their playoff exit. They replied to a lot of comments about Marner's lack of production and how he didn't show up - yet again.
This probably won't be the last time that we hear about Marner's security detail making their rounds on social media. Just be wary that if you post anything negative about Marner, you might get hit up by Rocket Security.
