As free agency creeps closer and closer, TSN's Darren Dreger has revealed that Mitch Marner has no intention of helping the Maple Leafs before he leaves on July 1st.

Last week, it was reported that Mitch Marner may help the Leafs out in a big way before he leaves his favourite childhood team by agreeing to a sign-and-trade.
That idea was mentioned again by Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli on Wednesday morning on 'The Fan Morning Show'.
"If he finds a preferred destination, I think there is a window here for the Leafs to get an asset in return to execute a sign-and-trade to get the eighth year."

Mitch Marner Reportedly Has Zero Interest In Helping The Maple Leafs

Unfortunately for the Maple Leafs and Leafs Nation, Marner seems content with tarnishing what's left of his legacy, showing no interest in a sign-and-trade, according to TSN's Darren Dreger, who was on TSN 1050's 'OverDrive' on Wednesday evening.
"There has been market speculation about trading Marner's rights. Would he be interested if it was going to the right fit because in that case it would be a sign-and-trade? I don't think that that motivates the Marner side too much.
Marner refusing a sign-and-trade before free agency is nothing new, given that he not only turned down a trade to the Carolina Hurricanes ahead of the trade deadline, but he reportedly turned down multiple requests from the Leafs as they attempted to land Mikko Rantanen as his replacement.
With Brad Treliving meeting with the media on Thursday morning, it will be interesting to see what sort of update he provides on any potential negotiations he and Marner's camp are holding and if he believes there is still a chance to bring back the 28-year-old winger.
