The Maple Leafs busted out of their funk with a huge win on Monday, and forward Max Domi revealed what he believes the key to a dominant victory was.

The Leafs have been fighting it over the last couple of weeks, and there's just no other way to put it. The effort hadn't been good enough, and the message had been sent by coach Craig Berube that a full 60-minute effort was a requirement moving forward.
Message received.
The Leafs came into last night's game on a mission, absolutely hammering the Flames by a score of 6-2 in front of the hometown crowd at Scotiabank Arena -- something that Max Domi was pleased to see.
During his post-game media availability, Domi touched on the fact that all 4 lines and all 3 D pairings really put a strong emphasis on showing their work ethic, never quitting on any plays and coming together with a complete team effort from top to bottom.
"I think right from the get-go, everyone was ready to play. We knew we needed this one... We literally had everyone going. There wasn't one passenger tonight and when we're like that, we're a tough team to beat, man."

Domi had the opportunity to play alongside Auston Matthews on the top line over the weekend, but when Monday's line rushes were announced, Domi was once again centering the 3rd line, along with Bobby McMann and Nicholas Robertson. The trio was electric all night and not only provided the team with energy, but also with some goal support.
The Leafs have 3 more games this week, starting with a Wednesday evening matchup against the Colorado Avalanche. Let's hope this full, aggressive, top-to-bottom effort continues as we inch closer to the playoffs.
