Maple Leafs' Social Media Team Pranks Leafs Players with Hilarious Results

With NHL training camps set to open on Wednesday, all NHL players are back with their teams, and when it comes to the Maple Leafs, they have kicked things off with the annual tradition of holding a charity golf tournament.

The event was fun for both the players and the media, who were able to interview a number of new faces, including Matias Maccelli, who shared two lofty goals he has set for this season, and Nicolas Roy, who revealed his admiration for a new and improved Morgan Rielly, who has reportedly shown up for camp in phenomenal shape.

The Leafs' social media team also had a chance to catch up with the players and took the time to create some laughs with a funny phone filter.

The social media team began passing a phone around to various Leafs players that stretched their eyes to either side of their face. Simon Benoit and Matthew Knies didn't seem to be keen on the prank, but Joseph Woll could not keep his composure, as the laughter really took hold.

The lighter side of camp is now over, and the real test is about to begin, as on ice sessions are set to begin on Wednesday.

There are a number of players on the bubble, including Calle Jarnkrok, David Kampf, Michael Pezzetta, Nick Robertson and rookie sensation Easton Cowan -- and they're all battling for limited roster spots.
