Toronto Maple Leafs forward Scott Laughton opens up about his line's success in the playoffs, and believes he can help push the Leafs over the top in Game 6.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are coming off an abysmal performance in Game 5 against the Ottawa Senators, getting shutout 4-0 in a game where they had the chance to close out the series.
One bright spot in that game -- and throughout the postseason -- has been the newly energized fourth line, centered by trade deadline acquisition Scott Laughton.
While Laughton and his linemates haven't contributed much offensively, they've been a consistent physical presence and tough to play against every time they hit the ice.
The line, which includes Steven Lorentz, Calle Jarnkrok, and Laughton, has combined for 36 hits so far in the series.
Laughton recently opened up about what his line is doing well. As quoted in Nick Barden's article shared on X:
"I think we can provide a little bit more offense for us, but at the same time, still do our job and make it hard for them. I thought both my linemates were really good [on Tuesday]. Just trying to help them out where I can and be good on the forecheck and create some momentum for our team to the shifts we get."

Laughton also added some optimism about his Maple Leafs squad:
"It's the best time of year, up 3-2 in the series in a good spot here. Going on the road, these guys have been good on the road all year and ever since I came here."
Laughton initially struggled to find his place in Toronto after the trade, but since the start of the playoffs, he's stepped up and embraced his role.
He's brought grit, energy, defensive responsibility and leadership to the fourth line, exactly the kind of player the Leafs have needed in the past in the post season.
The Maple Leafs will head to Ottawa on Thursday looking to end the series and crush the Senators' playoff hopes, aiming to finally punch their ticket to the second round.
