The Toronto Maple Leafs have unveiled several new-look lines following a loss to the Seattle Kraken, and Max Domi is the beneficiary of Easton Cowan's unexpected demotion.

A shocking turn of events following the Maple Leafs' embarrassing overtime loss to the Seattle Kraken on Saturday night had Anthony Stolarz calling out not only William Nylander, but the entire team for their lackluster effort.
The loss to the Kraken has not only put the Leafs on tilt, but has also yielded several lineup changes for Craig Berube's team at practice on Monday.

Leafs Making Big Changes After Loss to Kraken

The Leafs took a much-needed Sunday off after a very busy week, chock full of hockey. However, on Monday, when they returned to practice, most of the players received new linemates.

Max Domi's Big Promotion

Max Domi found himself shifted up from the 3rd line all the way to Auston Matthews' right flank on the top line. Unfortunately, this came at the cost of Easton Cowan, who was removed from the lineup entirely and projects to be a scratch on Tuesday against New Jersey.
The full extent of the forward group changes from this morning's practice has been revealed by NHL.com's Dave A. McCarthy:
Knies - Matthews - Domi
Maccelli - Tavares - Nylander
Joshua - Roy - McMann
Robertson - Lorentz - Jarnkrok
Extras: Blais - Cowan

Steven Lorentz Takes on New Role in Toronto

Steven Lorentz has surprisingly found himself shifted over to center on a new offensive 4th line, which features the suddenly rejuvenated Calle Jarnkrok and the young Nicholas Robertson.
With Lorentz shifting over to center the 4th line, newcomer Nicolas Roy was moved up to the team's 3rd line, as was Dakota Joshua. The pair projects to play with Bobby McMann tomorrow night.
The Leafs will now be challenged to find some quick chemistry against a New Jersey Devils team who boast a 4-1-0 record coming into Toronto on Tuesday evening. Let's hope Craig Berube's crew is up to the task and plays with a little more pace, grit and can finish at a much higher rate.
