Easton Cowan played the hero, scoring the OT winner against the Flyers on Thursday, and during his post-game interview, his Leafs teammates had some fun with him.

The Leafs travelled to Philadelphia this week on a 7-game heater, in which they collected 12 of a possible 14 points, with the opportunity to stretch their point streak to 8 games.
Thanks to a late game-tying goal by eventual game MVP Scott Laughton, followed by a slick overtime goal by rookie sensation Easton Cowan, it was mission accomplished for the Leafs, who now move to within striking distance of a playoff spot.
Cowan became the first Leafs rookie to score an overtime winner since Kasperi Kapanen, nearly nine years ago, and he also became the 2nd youngest Maple Leafs player of all-time to score an OT goal. The cherry on top was that it earned him a feature post-game interview.

The Mount Brydges, Ontario native did well in the interview, sharing some brief insights and making the win about the entire team rather than any individual effort. He also had some sneaky visitors providing some comedic value to the interview.
As Cowan spoke with a reporter following the win, Morgan Rielly began to peek around the corner, just in view of the camera, followed by who appears to be Matthew Knies (unconfirmed). At one point, Scott Laughton, the long-time Flyers forward, steps out in full view in an attempt to throw Cowan off, but to no avail.
The group has embraced Cowan fully in his rookie season and appears to be taking good care of the former 1st round pick, who has really held his own in his first ever NHL campaign.
With goals in back-to-back games, Cowan seems to really be finding his stride on a new-look 3rd line for the Maple Leafs that may become a permanent fixture in the lineup.
