Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving Confirms Insider's Report On Potential Roster Moves

Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving spoke with reporters on Tuesday, where he confirmed an earlier report about potential upcoming roster moves ahead of training camp.
Across the league, the latter half of the summer has been extremely quiet. Aside from an re-signing here and there, fans have been clamoring for some sort of action.
Now that we are into September, teams will begin to look at the remaining free agents and extend PTOs to those that they feel best fit with their roster construction. The Leafs are one of those teams, eyeing at least one remaining free agent, but fans shouldn't expect any massive moves from the team.
On Tuesday morning, respected NHL Insider Chris Johnston joined TSN's 'First Up' and stated that he believes the Leafs' roster is basically set.
Brad Treliving Confirms Report Regarding Major Roster Additions or Subtractions
On Tuesday, General Managers gathered in Detroit for meetings where Treliving took some time to speak to reporters, and when asked about potential additions (or subtractions), the Leafs' GM confirmed Johnston's earlier reporting.
"We're always looking. I don't think you ever stop. Whether it happens or not, we'll see. We've got a lot of bodies right now, so we'll see. More than likely, unless something changes, we'll go with what we've got and see where it all sorts itself out.»
Despite always being involved, it doesn't appear that the long-time NHL executive is having much success moving the contracts of David Kampf and Calle Jarnkrok, which has likely hindered any other potential moves he wanted or wants to make.
That being said, there is still more than a month between now and the regular season and with training camp approaching, teams will have a better idea of their needs which could lead to a very active September.
