The London Knights are off to the next round of the OHL playoffs after a comprehensive sweep that was led by Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan.

In what will be his final year with the London Knights, Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan is putting on a show during the OHL playoffs as he helped his team complete a comprehensive sweep in the first round.
The Knights paced the entire OHL circuit with a ridiculous 55-11-2-0 record through 68 games for a league-high 112 points. They had a 16 point edge over the Windsor Spitfires within their own conference and were 12 points better than Kitchener, who held the 2nd best record.
That set the stage for a first round matchup against the Owen Sound Attack, which ended as quickly as it began. The Knights outscored the Attack by a 27-12 margin as they were paced by Cowan and his linemate Denver Barkey.
Cowan notched 4 goals and 9 points with Barkey tallying 5 goals and 12 points, netting the duo a combined 9 goals and 21 points, which is almost as many goals as the Attack were able to score combined.
Their next opponent has yet to be determined with the first round still ongoing. However, the Knights should be heavily favoured over whoever they play next, considering their pedigree and record this season.
The Knights are the reigning J. Ross Robertson Cup champions after claiming the OHL circuit last year with a 16-2 record through the playoffs. They advanced all to the way to finals of the Memorial Cup, before they were bested by the Saginaw Spirit in the championship game by a score of 4-3.
Cowan led the way with 8 points in 4 games during the tournament but was unable to push his team over the finish line after a very lengthy season. He will look to take charge once more as the Knights set their sights towards both the OHL circuit as well as the Memorial Cup.
The Maple Leafs prospect finished the season with 29 goals and 69 points in 46 games, this coming a year after he notched 34 goals and 96 points in 54 regular season games as well as 34 points in 18 post-season games.
