Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan shows some personality, drops entertaining celly after extending his impressive point streak to an astonishing 65 games.

As the NHL trade deadline approaches on March 7th, the Toronto Maple Leafs are looking to make a splash in hopes of propelling themselves to some much-needed playoff success.
In recent weeks, there have been a few blockbuster trades, including the movement of star players like Mikko Rantanen and J.T. Miller from their respective teams. These moves have made it clear what the asking price is for acquiring top talent.
Unfortunately for the Maple Leafs, this likely means that either Easton Cowan or Fraser Minten will need to be included in any trade to get a significant deal done ahead of the trade deadline.
While Minten has already played in the NHL this season, Cowan is still in junior, playing for the London Knights after failing to make the Maple Leafs out of training camp.
Cowan recently extended his CHL point streak to 65 games, though the streak was a continuation from last season. He celebrated in hilarious fashion during Easton Cowan Bobblehead Night with the Knights.
As per Leafslatest on X:
"Easton Cowan picked up a goal and an assist to extend his point streak to 65 games. He also pulled off a pretty cool bobblehead celebration to mark his bobblehead night with the Knights tonight."
This season, Cowan has tallied 40 points in 29 games with the Knights, which indicates a slight slowdown in his production from last season, as his points-per-game ratio has dipped.
Cowan also struggled in the World Junior Championship tournament. Expected to be a standout player for Team Canada, he fell short, posting just 3 points in 5 games as Canada made an early exit.
This, of course, begs the question: Is it time for the Maple Leafs to attempt to sell high on the Mount Brydges, Ontario native?
Cowan remains one of the Leafs' top prospects and may be required to help facilitate a trade for a third-line center. With the team in win-now mode, they may not have the luxury of waiting for Cowan to fully develop into an NHL-ready player.
His perceived value is higher than that of Fraser Minten, so it stands to reason that Cowan will have more trade value and could fetch a better return. Whether it's the right call to trade him now or hold onto him a beyond the trade deadline, that's what Leafs GM Brad Treliving will have to determine.
