Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving breaks has broken his silence on the Anthony Stolarz situation after his fiery reaction following the Maple Leafs' loss to the Seattle Kraken.

One of the big stories in Toronto over the last week arose after Saturday's overtime loss to the Seattle Kraken, when Anthony Stolarz publicly called out his teammates for their lack of effort.
"We're six games into the season... enough's enough and we kind of got to start picking it up here," ranted the 31-year-old.

Brad Treliving Backs Leafs Netminder Following Public Outburst

On Tuesday's edition of 'Insider Trading', TSN's Pierre LeBrun revealed that he spoke with GM Brad Treliving about the New Jersey native's public outburst, noting that the Leafs GM supported his netminder.
"To quote Brad Treliving," stated LeBrun, "He was frustrated after a loss. Emotion is good. He talked to his teammates, and we have competitive guys, so it's really not a big deal. It gets played in the media, and that gets blown out of proportion. It's nothing more than 'let's get going.' I like that our guys are competitive."
Unfortunately, Stolarz's comments failed to light a fire under his teammates as they fell 5-2 to former head coach Sheldon Keefe and the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night.
With the club not in action until Friday night when they take on the Buffalo Sabres, the hope is that a couple of days off will allow the team to reset and come out with a far better effort than we have seen so far.
