Returning from the Christmas break, the Leafs revealed their goalie rotation for their back-to-back games against the Senators and Red Wings at the morning skate.

Heading into the 3-day break, the Leafs secured a much-needed 6-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, taking some of the pressure off of themselves, head coach Craig Berube and GM Brad Treliving.

Leafs Return to Practice; Unveil Goalie Rotation For Senators and Red Wings

Returning to action with a back-to-back against two Atlantic Division rivals in the Ottawa Senators and Detroit Red Wings this weekend, it is imperative the team gets off to a good start and strings together a few wins.
To do so, the Leafs will turn to Joseph Woll to get things started on Saturday as he was manning the home net at the morning skate.
Woll is coming off of an impressive performance against Pittsburgh where he stopped 29 of 32 shots and now has a.923 save percentage in 11 games this season.
In all likelihood, that means Dennis Hildeby will get the nod on Sunday against the Red Wings, as the team continues to use both goalies with Anthony Stolarz still sidelined.
Without Stolarz, who is seeing a specialist and has remained off the ice since a November 11th injury, the Leafs will continue to rely on the tandem to avoid any additional injury issues.

Berube Looking For A Balanced Approach Out of the Break

Woll has won 4 of his last 5 starts, posting a .906 save percentage or better in all 5 outings. He has amassed a 6-4-1 record this season, accompanied by a stellar .923 SV% and a 2.51 GAA across his 11 appearances.
Meanwhile, Hildeby has lost his last 3 outings, posting a .862 SV% or worse in all 3 contests, so he'll need to bounce back in a big way following the holiday break. All things considered, Hildeby, while inconsistent, has provided the Leafs with some quality play in Stolarz's absence, playing to a .911 SV% through 13 games this season.
