"Toronto Maple Leafs forward John Tavares was able to fulfill a childhood dream this summer when he signed with the Leafs'. On Thursday night he was able to finally do what he's waited his whole life for.... Get on the ice for a NHL playoff game in a Maple Leafs' uniform. The Leafs' forward didn't disappoint. Tavares registered a goal, an assist, six shots on net, and got up for the challenge of playing against Patrice Bergeron. Tavares won 62% of his faceoffs including going 9 for 17 against Bergeron. JT also had a 58% adjusted possession rate according to Jonas Siegel which included mostly being on the ice against Bergeron. A dream come true for both Tavares and Leafs' fans.
