Fearless 5'10 Max Domi drops the mitts with 6'2 Mattias Janmark
After a slow start to his 1st season as a Leaf, Max Domi has really come alive of late. Not only has he been more productive in the second half, but he's also been a lot more physical and has had some extra pep in his step.
On Saturday night, during Sportsnet's Hockey Night in Canada coverage of the Oilers/Leafs game, Domi made sure the fans in attendance got their money's worth, dropping the gloves with Oilers forward Mattias Janmark in the 3rd period.
Domi, at 5'10, does give up a bit of size to Janmark, who stands 6'2, but Domi is not intimidated by anyone and gave Janmark a run for his money. Domi was definitely the more aggressive of the two combatants, though it was eventually Janmark who scored the takedown.
With how well Domi has acquitted himself in his first season in Toronto, it would be more surprising at this point if he didn't sign an extension at some point between now and July 1st, when he's set to become a UFA once again.
