Ex-NHLer Shares Bold Statement About the Toronto Maple Leafs

Former NHLer and current ESPN analyst Ray Ferraro had a very bold take about the potential length of the Maple Leafs run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Maple Leafs Captain Auston Matthews is confident in himself and his teammates ahead of their first-round series against the Ottawa Senators.
While the Leafs Captain is confident and his teammates are excited to renew the 'Battle of Ontario', Leafs Nation is as nervous as ever thanks to past playoff trauma and disappointment.
However, former NHLer and current analyst Ray Ferraro doesn't share that same nervousness and made a very bold statement about the Maple Leafs' potential heading into the post-season and their first-round matchup with the Senators on TSN's "OverDrive" on Wednesday.
"I think it's really important for Toronto to not try and prove how tough they are. Just play your game you know how to play that I think at times this year has shown really well. They should be deeper offensively. This is Toronto's best opportunity. It seems different with this team."
While Ferraro believes this is the Leafs' best opportunity to go on a deep run, he thinks the Senators have the better goaltender in Linus Ullmark, which almost comes as more of a surprise given the heater Leafs' goaltender Anthony Stolarz is on.
The Leafs have one final game in the regular season on Thursday night before they can begin prepare for Game 1 against the Senators on Sunday in what everyone is hoping will be a lengthy, less stressful playoff run.
