Ex-Maple Leafs Prospect Already Earns Call-Up With the Bruins After Just 10 AHL Games

A former Toronto Maple Leafs prospect has already earned himself an NHL recall after just 10 games with his new organization, thanks to his outstanding play.
As the Leafs were approaching the NHL's trade deadline on March 7th, it became pretty clear that they would have to move at least one top prospect to acquire a player that could make a noticeable impact on the roster for the duration of this season and beyond.
In the end, the Leafs opted to complete their most meaningful trade deadline acquisition at the 11th hour, sending Fraser Minten and a 1st round pick to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Brandon Carlo.
The move has worked out pretty well for the Leafs, with Carlo forming some great chemistry with new D partner Morgan Rielly in fairly short order.
Likewise, the move has worked out well for the Bruins, who recently watched Minten pop off in the AHL for a hat trick to cap off a 4-point night a few games ago, which has helped set the stage for today's announcement.
What Was Today's Big Announcement by the Bruins?
The Bruins have officially recalled Fraser Minten from the American Hockey League.
Minten had produced 7 points across his 10 games with the AHL's Providence Bruins, while also exhibiting his tremendous two-way play, which earned him a lot of praise during his time with the Maple Leafs organization.
At this point, the Bruins have not announced whether Minten will play tonight against Carolina, but I think it's a pretty safe assumption, given where the team is at right now.
The Bruins are 0-9-1 across their last 10 games, and are riding a 10-game losing streak after shipping off the likes of Carlo, Brad Marchand and Charlie Coyle ahead of the deadline.
