Former Maple Leafs enforcer Jay Rosehill had a hilarious reaction to Morgan Rielly's ridiculous endorsement deal, pointing out a wild and ironic coincidence.

Despite what the media says, nobody has been more critical of his up-and-down season than Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly himself.
Thankfully, Rielly has seemingly turned the corner since the Leafs brokered a deal with the Boston Bruins to acquire Brandon Carlo at the trade deadline. Carlo has made a tremendous partner for Rielly and the two have experienced a lot of success in the early going.
Unfortunately for Rielly, a recent promotion with Pizzaville gave everyone a laugh and caught former Leafs enforcer Jay Rosehill in complete and utter disbelief due to a missed connection that depicts Rielly in a very unfortunate light.
Since 2017, Rielly has done promotional work for Pizzaville, but their latest promotional efforts could not have been more poorly-timed with the name of the promotion, "The Rielly Big Giveaway".
On last night's episode of TLN After Dark, host Zack Phillips brought up the promotion, which sent Rosehill on a hilarious tangent about the irony of Rielly's latest advertisement.
"What does it say? Serve one up or turn one over or something? I thought it was a meme. The big giveaway, with a pizza on a platter! For people that don't know, serving up pizzas in the hockey world is turnover after turnover.

Like, all that guy does is turn the puck over... and he's talking about the big giveaway with a pizza on a platter. Is he just giving up? He's not that f***ing stupid to not put two and two together. I thought it was a meme... I bet you he has to be furious. There's no way he knew what was going on until it was a on a billboard."
Rielly, who had seemingly become the whipping boy for the Leafs this season due to his turnovers and less-than-ideal defensive play, may have simply taken the criticism he's faced and made a joke about it, rather than dwell on the public's opinion. That's the only thing that makes sense at this point.
As the promotion has come to an end, Leafs Nation is hopeful that Rielly's poorly timed giveaways will soon become a thing of the past, as the team prepares for what is expected to be a lengthy playoff run.
