The Maple Leafs may have their sights set on their next addition, and according to one reporter, a decision between the Leafs and a top remaining UFA is looming.

With the dust settling from the initial free agent craze, there remains a handful of solid and productive players still looking for a new home in 2025-26, including top-9 forward Jack Roslovic.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have reportedly been interested in the 28-year-old's services to compliment their battery of forwards.
He would give them stability down the middle if needed and his past relationship with Auston Matthews doesn't hurt as the two came through the U.S. National Development Team together.
The utility man, who can play both down the middle or on the wing, is coming off of a 22-goal campaign with the Carolina Hurricane this past season, where he also added 17 assists in 81 games. Additionally, he owned a 54.1% success rate in the face-off dot and played secondary power play minutes.
The Athletic's James Mirtle has suggested that the Leafs getting a deal done with Roslovic is a 50-50 draw at the moment, but the ball is in Toronto's court, and not the other way around. Roslovic is interested, but it boils down to term and cost for the team.
It was later mentioned that if he signs anywhere between the $2.6 million and $2.85 million range, it would force the team to have to move a forward like David Kampf who carries a $2.4 million cap hit for the next 2 seasons.
Adding Roslovic would also be the tip of the iceberg as Mirtle doesn't believe the Maple Leafs would be done making moves. As has been relayed by other insiders, it sounds like Toronto is working diligently and it could take some time for other things to materialize.
Bringing in the two-time 20-goal scorer should definitely be on Brad Treliviing's UFA list this summer. Not only would it alleviate pressure from the top guns, but with Roslovic in the mix, alongside Scott Laughton and Nicolas Roy, the Leafs would have a variety of options in the bottom-6 that can score and be matchup nightmares for the opposition.
