Craig Berube's Mind Games At Leafs' Morning Skate Suggest Multiple Lineup Changes For Game 5

Following the Leafs' Game 4 shutout loss to the Florida Panthers that evened the series at two, head coach Craig Berube was asked about potential lineup changes for Wednesday when the series shifts back to Toronto for Game 5.

The Leafs' bench boss was hesitant to confirm changes at the time and left Leafs Nation scratching their heads at practice on Tuesday, running the same line combinations that he has run all series.

As the Leafs took to the ice for Wednesday's morning skate, it was a very scarce group that took to the ice as two usual participants in David Kampf and Bobby McMann were absent.

Not only were Kampf and McMann absent, but Berube forced everyone off the ice at the same time to avoid tipping his hand as often times those that are healthy scratches stay on the ice late. Leafs Nation has seen this tactic used before when Sheldon Keefe was head coach and it was followed by having everyone dress for pre-game warmups.

Speaking with the media following a brief morning skate, Berube continued to be coy regarding any line changes noting that there were 'game-time decisions' to be made, but that they were not injury related.

While Leafs Nation and the Panthers will have to wait and see what changes the veteran bench boss makes to his lineup, one thing is all but guaranteed and that is Joseph Woll returning between the pipes for his fourth consecutive start against the Panthers.
