"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas announced a roster move on Thursday morning. It's looking like they might be without a defenseman Thursday night who's dealing with an injury so Dubas called up one up. Kristians Rubins has been called up from the Marlies. Travis Dermott is currently considered day to day with a foot injury and that likely means that Justin Holl will find his way back into the lineup after being a healthy scratch. We could see a surprise move by head coach Sheldon Keefe where he plays Rubins instead but it's more than likely going to be Holl jumping back into the lineup. Rubins has 3 points in 6 games for the Marlies so far this season. More details to come.
