Known Leafs supporter, former NHLer and current analyst Paul Bissonnette shared some very harsh words for Mitch Marner ahead of Game 6 on Thursday night.
The brunt of that has been felt by Mitch Marner, given that he is a pending UFA and expects to be made one of, if not the highest paid player in the league next season.
Ahead of a crucial Game 6 and their second attempt to send the Ottawa Senators from the rink to the links, former NHLer Paul Bissonnette was on 'Leafs Morning Take' where he had a very blunt message for the Leafs' star winger.
"Marner gets bumped by Ullmark and he goes down and then he's crying on the bench. Understand what's happening right now. We're well aware that Stolarz got away with the chop in Game 1 and then Ullmark gives you a love tap and you're going to spend your energy complaining to the referee. Buddy, just dig in. Shut the f*** up and dig in. Just dig in."
Harsh words from the former enforcer turned analyst. The incident 'Biz Nasty' is referring to actually occurred in Game 2 when Anthony Stolarz beat Ridly Greig to the ice and while many in Leafs Nation felt there should have been a penalty on Linus Ullmark for his shove on Marner, the officiating has been very questionable across every playoff series, often missing obvious calls and using ticky-tac penalties as make-up calls.
