Anthony Stolarz Injured: Leafs Provide Immediate Update

Craig Berube's update on injury to Anthony Stolarz puts the Maple Leafs in a bind with the club already working shorthanded in between the pipes.
The story coming out of last night's game against the Boston Bruins wasn't so much that they lost the game, but more so the fact that they lost both
Auston Matthews and Anthony Stolarz to injuries.
The last thing the Toronto Maple Leafs need right now is an injury in between the pipes, despite the fact that Stolarz has been far from his usual self.
Leafs Lose Two Important Pieces in Loss to Bruins
At first it seemed like Stolarz was pulled from their 5-3 loss to Boston after allowing 3 goals on 11 shots. However, after the Leafs came onto the ice to start the third period, they had ruled out both Matthews (lower-body) and Stolarz (upper-body) for injuries.
After the game, head coach Craig Berube offered an update on Stolarz, but he didn't offer too much insight, as expected. He did mention that they don't believe it's a serious issue, but his status for Thursday night is definitely in question.
What the Stolarz injury could do is speed up the return-to-play process for Joseph Woll, who is currently on a conditioning stint in the minors. He played in 2 periods on Saturday night against Lehigh Valley and is expected to play tonight against the Grand Rapids Griffins, according to Berube.
They will reevaluate how the 27-year-old feels after the fact, but should Stolarz miss Thursday's clash against the Los Angeles Kings, there's a chance that the Leafs could recall Woll and have him dressed as the backup at the very least.
Hildeby Playing Well Amid Leafs' Losing Skid
Dennis Hildeby would more than likely be in line for his second start of the season, and considering he's relieved Stolarz over the last two games to the tune of a .910 SV% on 61 shots, he's certainly prepared.
Additionally, because Woll is playing tonight, the Leafs would probably not risk playing him on back-to-back nights. If they feel he's not ready to return, even as a backup, they could look to make an emergency recall for
Artur Akhtyamov.
Nevertheless, as of right now, Stolarz can be deemed questionable for tomorrow's game, as the Leafs will continue to evaluate his status.
