Sheldon Keefe not happy with the media following loss to the Rangers, refuses to answer pointless question
The Leafs' 15-game point streak, along with the point streaks of Mitch Marner, Auston Matthews and William Nylander came to an end last night. The game was sloppy all around, but it might have been the sloppiest the Leafs have played in a long time.
As per usual, any time a former Leaf plays Toronto they end up scoring. Last night it was Jimmy Vesey's turn, scoring twice, including the empty netter to seal the win. Post-game, Sheldon Keefe was asked about Vesey's performance against them to which Keefe gave a sharp, "Are we done here?" reply.
It wasn't so much about Keefe being asked about Vesey, but rather the media attempting to create headlines by asking such a question. Obviously, the question rubbed Keefe the wrong way and rather than get into a pissing match with the reporter who asked the question, Keefe was more focused on ending the session and shifting his focus to Washington coming up on Saturday.
