Sheldon Keefe makes surprising roster decision after back-to-back losses
Despite the recent struggles defensively for the Leafs, Sheldon Keefe has decided to stay the course with his forward lines and defensive pairings. The last two games the Leafs have given up 11 goals, while only scoring 6.
After a day off yesterday, the Leafs took to the ice this morning for the game-day skate as they welcome the Detroit Red Wings to town tonight. There was speculation that Keefe would tinker with the lineup, but he has opted against it, keeping all four lines and three defensive pairings together.
Keefe did say a few days ago, that the defensive pairings are going through a "recalibration" as they welcomed back Rasmus Sandin and Morgan Rielly after missing significant amounts of time so he is hoping that things will get better with time.
