The Toronto Maple Leafs have not played since last Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins. The lack of games over the past month has appeared to impact the team's legs, and at practice yesterday, Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe had to "crack the whip," so to speak, following one drill in which he didn't feel the team was bringing the right level of intensity.
It's not the first time Keefe has been animated lately as he has been very worked up behind the Leafs bench, confronting players during the past couple of games. With the Leafs unable to find any consistency in their play, it would seem that frustration is finally starting to show through for the usually composed head coach.
