In 2021 the NHL and Adidas announced that clubs would be wearing ''Reverse Retro'' jerseys. The jerseys would be consisted of past and present colours and logos for each of the league's teams.
The Reverse Retros gained positive feedback from the NHL fans. In 2021-22, season clubs did not wear Reverse Retros. During the season, however, it was announced b the NHL that they would be making a return in 2022-23.
This off-season, we have already seen leaks and announcements of RR 2.0 jerseys. Today, the Buffalo Sabres showed off their logo for their new third sweaters for the season, and it has made hockey fans excited, as they will be returning to the black and red jerseys with the Buffalo head with their RR 2.0 offering.
Fans in Buffalo have wanted this jersey and logo to return for a while now. The team changed the logo and colours back in 2007 to their former blue, white and yellow. The Sabres had some good seasons in that era. Maybe with the return of this historic jersey and logo, they will begin to find some success once again.
