Everybody knows the Bruins are having a historical season this year. Their ridiculous 32-5-4 record has them sitting in first place in the standings. The Bruins' success is partly due to the play of their veteran players, including Brad Marchand, who is without a doubt one of the best players on the team and one of the absolute best agitators in the league.
Marchand has 37 points in 33 games played so far this season and when asked earlier today about the Leafs, Marchand had some pretty surprising things to say, prior to facing off against the Buds tonight.
It's safe to say that while Marchand's on-ice persona is that of a pest, he still respects Toronto as a team. Marchand even seems like he and the B's aren't taking the Leafs lightly, saying they are serious contenders for the Cup.
The Leafs have been known for choking once the playoffs start. However, when a player like Marchand is beginning to take notice of how good this Leafs team really is, perhaps we should take notice as well.
