OHL's Oshawa Generals troll Calgary Flames with pictures of their locker room, team lounge
Earlier this week, the Calgary Flames' official Twitter account posted a video of newly acquired defenseman MacKenzie Weegar visiting the Saddledome for the first time, including checking out the Flames' locker room and putting his jersey on for the first time. The biggest takeaway from the video? How terrible the Flames' dressing room is compared to the other 31 teams in the league.
Quite honestly though, there's not much the Flames can do given they're in one of the oldest, if not the oldest arena in the league. They can renovate as much as they want but there is only so much room they have. As they struggle to find common ground with the city and province on a new arena, social media trolled their dressing room yesterday.
That includes the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League. The team's official Twitter account posted photos of their locker room/lounge and let's just say, the Flames would be ecstatic to call that their dressing room.
When an OHL club has a fancier arena than an NHL club, you know it's time for a change. It goes without saying that the Flames and the city of Calgary need to get to work on sorting out their arena situation.
