Max Domi has two huge celebrity supporters after signing contract with the Leafs
For Max Domi, signing a 1-year contract with his childhood team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, was an absolute dream come true. Domi has long desired to play in Toronto and after a lot of years of waiting for his chance, he'll finally have it this season.
Domi, being a 2nd generation NHLer, has some massive shoes to fill, as his father, Tie, was an absolute warrior and a fan-favourite in Leafs Nation throughout the 90's and early 2000's. Not only does he feel up to the task, but he's also attempting to do something that his dad was never able to do in Toronto; win a Stanley Cup.
After signing his deal, Domi posted a photo on social media of him as a child, sitting on his dad's knee in the Leafs' dressing room after a game. The photo received a lot of love from the fanbase, but also drew in a couple of A-list celebrities in NFL legend Tom Brady and Hollywood mega star Mark Wahlberg.
Definitely a cool moment for Max, as I'm sure he looks up to both A-listers. They're among the most successful at what they do and for them to take the time to show him some love and support, I'm sure he appreciated the gesture.
