On Friday February 25, Leafs fans can join host and former Maple Leaf, Mark Fraser, for a new segment called Three Course Conversation.
The likeable 35-year-old Fraser is back with the team, working off the ice as the organization's representative in an attempt to rid the game of the toxic cultures of racism, homophobia and others by acknowledging and promoting equity, diversity and inclusion.
In the piece, Fraser is joined by
Auston Matthews, Jason Spezza and
Jack Campbell as they learn about Wayne Simmonds' Jamaican background, sample some of his favorite food and celebrate the organization's diversity. A short preview is available below:
While the Leafs are definitely among the teams leading this effort, the greater movement has been shouldered by the Hockey Diversity Alliance, an organization led by Chair and former NHLer, Akim Aliu.
