Another Leaf has officially departed on UFA day, as depth forward Colin Blackwell has accepted a deal with the Chicago Blackhawks. Blackwell will make $1.2M in each of the next two seasons with the Hakws, and he'll have the opportunity to show off what he can do in perhaps a top six/middle six role.

With the Leafs adding Adam Gaudette and Nicolas Aube-Kubel earlier today, the writing was pretty much on the wall for Blackwell, who came over to the Leafs in a deadline deal from the Seattle Kraken, along with defenseman Mark Giordano in exchange for a trio of draft picks.
Blackwell, 29, made it into 19 games for the Leafs, scoring just 2 goals and 1 assist for a total of 3 points over that span. Prior to landing in Toronto, Blackwell played in 39 games for the Kraken, notching 17 points during his time in Seattle.
