Leafs Potential Trade Target Drops the Gloves with Brandon Carlo

Late in the first period in the Boston/San Jose game on Sunday, Sharks forward Timo Meier put his toughness on full display as he dropped the gloves with Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo.

Meier is a player who the Leafs have been connected to in the lead up to the Trade Deadline this year. Adding a guy of Meier's stature would certainly require Dubas to part with at least one of his top prospects and would likely also require multiple picks.

The big caveat to the Leafs seeking a deal for Meier is that he is an RFA at season's end, so trading for him and giving up the haul that will most certainly be required.
