It was likely the most talked about event amongst the Leafs over the last couple of months and last night it finally happened. Last night, Mitch Marner married his long-time girlfriend. Marner had recently told reporters that he was super excited for his wedding and that following the wedding he would then talk to Auston Matthews and William Nylander more about their extensions.

Entering his reception last night, Marner and his wife, Steph, entered doing a quick dance together before Marner broke off and did "the Griddy" across the entire dance floor to their table. It's one of the more unique entrances I've seen, where the groom is the center of attention instead of the bride, but the move was on-brand for Marner. The only thing missing was a giant hat.

It wasn't the only unique thing that Marner did at his wedding last night as he and Steph gave everyone basketball jerseys that were branded with their dog Zeus' face as seen being worn by the likes of Tyler Bozak and Matt Martin, among others.
Former Leafs Bozak and Martin were joined by other former Leafs that were very close to Marner in Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton along with Jake Gardiner and James Van Riemsdyk. In addition to a number of former Leafs, the usual suspects were there including Auston Matthews, Jake Muzzin and William Nylander.
Now that the wedding is over, hopefully Marner can talk some sense into Willy and get him to come down from his $10M+ asking price so that he and Matthews can finally put pen to paper on their extensions.
