Isles forward casually rips his own tooth out of his mouth and passes it to his team's trainer
It's been said countless times - hockey players are among the toughest athletes on the planet. Say what you will about Isles forward Brock Nelson, but he's nothing if not tough. During Monday's Leafs/Islanders game in Toronto, Nelson had a couple of teeth loosened in the first period. How did he deal with it? Well, he simply reached into his mouth on the bench and twisted that sucker right out of his mouth.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about this clip is that Nelson barely even flinched while ripping the tooth out and handing it to the trainer.
I think we've all become accustomed to seeing the trademark toothless smiles of NHL players. Of course, it may take Nelson a few glances in the mirror to get used to seeing himself without some of his chiclets.
