Former Leafs fan-favourite may face some serious consequences after putting his hands on an official
A former Toronto Maple Leaf may have created some problems for himself on Thursday after he made the mistake of putting his hands on an official while attempting to argue his case.
Leo Komarov, a former fan-favourite in Toronto, may find himself with a suspension, a fine or both after nudging an official in the chest hard enough to cause him to become unbalanced. Komarov, who know plays for Lulea in the SHL, should have known better as there is a zero tolerance policy in the league for abuse of officials.
It's pretty easy to miss in the first clip, but thankfully there is a closer look available in the video below.
Regardless of whether or not it was intentional, Komarov should have known better than to put his hands on an official in the first place. Emotions can become high in games, especially when the calls aren't going your way. Unfortunately for Komarov, his emotions getting the best of him may cost him playing time and could also hurt his wallet a bit.
