Former Leafs winger Nicolas Aube-Kubel wasted no time in making his presence felt for his new team, the Washington Capitals, on Monday, landing a heavy hit on Edmonton Oilers winger Evander Kane.
One has to wonder; if we had seen a little more of this from Aube-Kubel in Toronto, would he have even been waived in the first place?
