Bob McKenzie's final draft rankings have dropped; here's who Bobby Margarita has the Leafs taking at 28th overall

Naturally, Bobby Mack, A.K.A. Bobby Margarita, had Connor Bedard going 1st overall to the Chicago Blackhawks, with the other two players rounding out the top 3 being Adam Fantilli and Leo Carlsson. None of these names should be any real surprise and, for Leafs Nation, really none of our concern as all 3 are well out of our reach. With that in mind, we'll take a look at some of the players who McKenzie had in the Leafs' range, with Boston's 28th overall pick.

McKenzie penciled in right-shot defenseman Oliver Bonk at that 28th overall spot, but also had a few players in a similar range whom the Leafs interviewed during the draft combine, such as Sudbury Wolves forward Quentin Musty landing in the 25 spot, Michigan's Gavin Brindley (NCAA) at 30th overall and Penticton's Bradly Nadeau at 31st overall.

Other prospects that the Leafs interviewed, such as Tom Willander, Brayden Yager, Colby Barlow and Axel Sandin Pellikka were ranked well outside of the Leafs' range in Bobby Mack's rankings. Willander landed at 20 on Bob's list, while Yager held down the 15 spot, Sandin Pellikka landing at 14 and Barlow finishing up at the 12 spot.

It's really anyone's guess who the Leafs will pluck at 28th overall - and that's if they even hang onto the pick at all. There are some rumblings that the Leafs are connected to some pretty interesting trade targets this summer, some of which will certainly demand a 1st round pick in the asking price.
